When you enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Google account, you’ll be prompted to enter a code to complete the sign-in process. This code can be obtained via text message, voice call, the Google Authenticator app, or a physical security key.
At times, you may be without your phone or a security key. In these instances, you can print a list of Google backup codes and store it in a secure location that only you have access to, and then sign in using your backup codes. We demonstrate how to do so on any device.
